Tata Steel’s Auto & Special Products division contributes significantly to the Electric Vehicle (EV) industry by supplying advanced, lightweight steel solutions that improve EV range, safety, and sustainability. They are a preferred partner for EV manufacturers, providing specialised steel for motors, battery packs,
and structural components​.

ChargeNest, a solution of Nest-In, is a sustainable electric vehicle charging station which is uniquely designed and can be used for both commercial and personal purposes.​

Applications

Hi-Lite (Electrical steels): Thin gauge non grain oriented strip steels for electric traction motors with the highest efficiency, power density and thermal of performance.

HILUMIN® (Electro-plated steels): Nickel-plated diffusion-annealed strip, using ultra-clean steel for high-volume, high-speed production of quality rechargeable batteries.

HyperForm® and XPF® (Structural steels): Advanced steels, available in coil, slit, blank, tube and tailor welded blanks with specific strength and formability and coatings for lightweight vehicle structures.
